Institute of Microbiology hosted the event devoted to March 1 – “World Day of Civil Defense”

The event was opened by Chief Staff of Civil Defense of the institution Bakhtiyar Yunusov, who noted that, since 1972, March 1 is being celebrated as the World Day of Civil Defense by the decision of the International Civil Defense Organization. Azerbaijan entered to this prestigious international organization in 1993. B.Yunusov noted that, the main purpose of the organization is the CD public safety and preparedness in the field of civil defense emergency.

The significance of the civil defense system is the implementation of preventive measures against industrial accidents and other incidents during emergencies.

Then, exchange of views was held on the subject.
