Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On March 11, event co-organized by “Scientists’ House” LLC of Academy and Nasimi district Executive Power, was held at the main building of ANAS.

Event was attended by representatives of ANAS, Deputy Head of Nasimi district Executive Power Gulara Verdiyeva, director and student staff of the secondary school located in Nasimi district.

In advance, students acquainted the exhibition reflecting academic achievements of ANAS.

Firstly, senior fellow of Ceremony folklore department of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS PhD in philology Atesh Ahmadli informed the students on history, etiology and traditions of Novruz holiday.

Then, Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Dr. Physics-math Professor Misir Mardanov responded the students’ questions in mathematics by interactive method, organized discussions on topics interested by them.

Scientist from Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory PhD in physics-math Adalat Atayi’s speech aroused more interest on students among the speeches on various scientific fields. Students were given detailed information about history of Astronomy science, scientific achievements, and founder of Maragha observatory - prominent scientist Nasiraddin Tusi.

In closing, director of “Scientists’ house” PhD in History Nurida Guliyeva and event attendees were taken a memorial photo.
