Institute of Literature conducted a scientific-creative meeting “Literary process – 2015”

On April 18, a scientific-creative meeting “Literary process – 2015”, devoted results of 2015 was conducted at the electron conference hall of ANAS Institute of Literature.

At the meeting director of the institute, Vice-President of ANAS Academician Isa Habibbayli underlined the hold of scientific-creative meetings at this organization led by him since 1976 until 1984 sequentially.

Study of independence period of Azerbaijan Republic is one of the key tasks set forth humanitarian and social sciences by President Ilham Aliyev, and so today’s meeting has been devoted to the independence period of Azerbaijan literature, noted academician.

Vice-President noted that, basic directions of meeting are processes happening in the independence period of Azerbaijan literature, emerged personalities, analyzing, generalizing and gauging of genres. The main difference of this meeting from others is its domination by the youth.

14 lecturers will make speeches on various topics covering all spheres of literary process: “A new generation, who brought up in the independence period, with new cognition demonstrates his viewpoints on the literary processes of the independence period. It is also an important step for the development of youth policy in the country."

Academician I. Habibbayli drew attention to the functioning of department of Azerbaijan Literature of Independence Period under Institute of Literature, while Azerbaijan History of Independence Period under Institute of History. In addition, book dubbed Azerbaijan Literature of Independence Period is under prep for publication.

Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanitarian Sciences Academician Teymur Karimli, editor-in-chief of newspaper “Literature”, writer-publicist Azer Turan reported at the meeting on significant progress in Azerbaijan literature in the latest years and stressed out vital measures taken by the Institute of Literature in this field.

Lectures on following topics were listened at the event: “Poem of 2015”, “Poems”, Literary process in the regions”, “Stories”, “Modern novels”, “Fictional translation", "Literary youth's researches”, "Literary criticism (theoretical problems)," "Children's literature (prose and drama)", "Satirical genres", "Literary process in the South”, views were exchanged.
