On April 28, President of ANAS Academician Akif Alizadeh met with President of Turkmenistan Academy of Sciences corresponding member of ANAS Meret Ashirbayev.
Academician congratulated the guest on his appointing to a new post and spoke about reforms carried out in the republic for sake of science development, results obtained, including state-of-the-art collaboration between two countries in science. He noted that, research works in oil-gas geology are focused on in the country and ANAS is keen to enhance collaboration links via Turkmenistan Academy of Sciences.
President of the Turkmenistan Academy of Sciences, corresponding member Meret Ashirbayev expressed gratitude for warm welcome and the support given to the development of bilateral relations. He gave detailed information about the structure of the Turkmenistan Academy of Sciences, in which include three sections and nine institutes. He noted that currently 70 academicians and 100 corresponding members employ here in directions of nanotechnology, chemical technologies, the study of new materials and energy, biotechnology, molecular biology, ICT, medicine, innovative economy and other scientific fields. Guest also informed on Technology Center attached to TAS and about physical, chemical, petrochemical, oil-gas tests carried out here. It was noted that this enterprise is the analogy of Interdisciplinary Analytical Center in ANAS.
Vice-President of ANAS Academician Isa Habibbayli stated that, joint projects are implemented via Institutes of Language and Literature, Humanitarian Sciences, Manuscripts of TAS. Together with mentioned institutions ANAS has prepared “Divan” by a great Turkmen poet Mahdumgulu Faragi. Academician noted that, currently anthonology of 2 volume “Turkmen literature” is under prep.
At the meeting was stated that, implementing futher scientific-researches, publication projects, organizing conference and seminars will pave the way for scientists of both countries to get even most important succeses.
