Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Employees of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics (IGG) of ANAS and the company "Total E & P Azerbaijan B.V / Total E & P Absheron B.V" study a geological and structural composition of Ayazakhtarma mud volcano, located in the south-west of Gobustan.

The works done on the basis of the cooperation agreement, carried out under the guidance of Head of the Department of Mud Volcanism of the Institute, Doctor of Geology-Mineralogy Sciences, Professor Adil Aliyev.

In the field research attended Chairman of Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of IGG, leading researcher of the Department, PhD in Geoscience Orkhan Abbasov, research fellow Elnur Baloglanov, leading specialist of the French company Patrice Imbert, as well as professors, masters and doctoral students from various universities of this country.

Results of research works will be co-prepared and published in scientific publications.
