"Geo-mechanics" seminar discussed the process of the development of gas condensate fields

ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics held next seminar on "Geo-mechanics” within the framework of the project of “Theoretical and experimental research complex of problems of the Geo-mechanics" on May 26.

During the workshop, all the participants of the research project and representatives of various institutions were attended.

Opening the event, Academician Hatam Guliyev noted the successful continuation of the work envisaged in the project. It was stressed the relevance of the report entitled "Physical and mathematical modeling of the development of gas condensate fields", which was presented by the members of ANAS Zohhak Abbasov, Garib Jalalov and Dr. Engineering Khasay Feyzullayev.

Next, Dr. Engineering Khasay Feyzullayev presented his report. The report noted that, the development of gas condensate fields in the depletion mode, leads to a loss significant amounts of condensate.

During production from layer of gas-condensate mix with the help of an operational well local hydraulic resistance grows in a bottom-hole zone and as a result of it pressure in bottom-hole zone considerably falls in comparison with medium layer pressure.

Sedimentation and collection of condensate liquid in the bottom-hole zone increases the filtration resistance of the mixture in a well. During the development of the layer, the loss of pressure that occurs while filtration of layer mixture in the bottom-hole zone, does not allow hydrocarbons and gas of layer to reach at the high extraction ratio.

Kh.Feyzullayev noted that, in order to prevent this situation and increase efficiency of processing, the elaboration of varied impact methods for layer is pressing issue.

It was noted that the processing of gas-condensate fields in the natural mode, forecasting development indicators while a variety of impact methods to the field and bottom-hole zone requires the usage of models based on multi-component filtration theory (taking into account the physical-chemical properties of the filtration of layer fluids and mass exchange).

Theoretic base of multi-component filtration theory, intending for development of gas-condensate fields, have been improved in the article and results of issues based on it were commented.

Lecture was discussed and questions were responded.
