Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Antalya, Turkey hosted the International Symposium «SEAB-2016.Biodiversity in Eurasia".

The event, held by organizational support of Pamukkale University, was attended by scientists and experts of Institute of Dendrology and Botany Institute of ANAS, Belarusian State University, Kazakh National University after Al-Farabi, Institute of Biology and Biotechnology of Plant of Kazakhstan, Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian State Agrarian University.

Co-chairmen of the symposium «SEAB-2016.Biodiversity in Eurasia" is the director of the Institute of Dendrology, corresponding member of ANAS Tofig Mammadov, Education Advisor of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Turkey Najiba Nasibova.

At the international event, corresponding member of ANAS Tofig Mammadov informed about the current state of biodiversity in Eurasia and the work being done in the field of the protection of a rich biodiversity.

It was noted that, the issue concerning protection of biodiversity in Azerbaijan has found the reflection in various state orders, laws and programs. Told about research work carried out in the study of biodiversity, T.Mammadov noted that, the Institute of Dendrology comprehensively monitored natural and cultural flora of Azerbaijan, as well as the study of rare and endangered species of plants.

It was noted that, the main objective of the symposium is to bring together scientists, environmentalists, representatives of civil society organizations, local and foreign Eurasian community to hold discussions.

At the event, was adopted the decision to hold the next symposium «SEAB-2017" in Minsk, Belarus.

Note that, the selected topics at the event entitled Symposium on "Biodiversity in Eurasia" will be published in journals with impact factor IJSM.
