Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Henriette Molinari, a Professor at the NMR Laboratory of the National Research Council of Italy, Institute of Macromolecular Studies (CNR ISMAC), associate of the laboratory Laura Ragona and Professor Anjelo Sironi visited the Institute of Physics.

The visit aimed to discuss the outputs of joint studies carried out within the Azerbaijan-Italy project “EPR, FT-PR, Confocal Raman and NMR spectroscopies aimed at elucidation of structural and photophysical properties of biomaterials”, which was winner in January 2016.

In advance, Italian guests met with Acting Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physical-Mathematical and Technical Sciences, director of the Institute of Physics corresponding member of ANAS Nazim Mammadov.

In a meeting were exchanged of views on works done and cooperation outlooks.

Later on, guests got acquainted with logistal base of the institute, operating at the Innovation sector, including academic performances of scientists.

Project manager of Azerbaijan Professor Ogtay Gasimov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Science, Academician Javad Abdinov, Deputy Director on Innovation and Transfer Dr. Physics-math Ayaz Bayramov and laboratory chief of Photoelectric and optical diagnostics of semiconductor structures PhD in Physics Ogtay Alakbarov attended the meeting as well.

On June 22, Professor Anjelo Sironi delivered a lecture on “Guest induced structural modifications in prorous coordinations polymers” at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS.

Italian guests visited Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory of ANAS on behalf Nasraddin Tusi and were informed on history of the observatpry and studies carried out here.
