The head of UNESCO International Departments of Bioethics Network, Professor Amnon Carmi visited ANAS Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.

Director of the Institute, Academician Irada Huseynova spoke about the history and activity of Institute led by her. It was noted that, deceased Academician Jalal Aliyev has an invaluable contribution to the institute's creation.

Then, Professor A.Carmi got acquainted with laboratories of the institute and with research works held here.

After the meeting, at the conference hall of the scientific institution was held meeting by the participation of Professor Amnon Carmi.

At the event also attended scientists and experts of ANAS Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Institute of Botany, Institute of Physiology, Institute of Zoology, Institute of Law and Human Rights, Institute of Genetic Resources, Azerbaijan Medical University, Scientific-Research Institute of Agriculture of AR Ministry of Agriculture.

At the seminar, Academician Irada Huseynova spoke about of the role of the deceased Academician Jalal Aliyev in the creation of the UNESCO's " Bioethics, Science, Knowledge and Ethic Technology" National Committee, the importance of bioethics in the modern era, research and prospects.

Professor Amnon Carmi said about the activity of UNESCO's Bioethics department and gave information on 120 Bioethics Center in the 5 continents.

A.Carmi stressed the importance establishment of the National Committee "Bioethics, Science, Knowledge and Ethic Technology" and highly appreciated the work of the committee.

Then, Professor A.Carmi responded the questions of participants.

At the end of the seminar Deputy Chairman on "Bioethics, Science, Knowledge and Ethic Technology" of the National Committee Doctor of Medical Sciences Vugar Mammadov, Academician Irada Huseynova has clarified some issues related to bioethics and expressed their gratitude for the report by Professor Amnon Carmi.
