Executive Director of Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities Meir Zadok, Professor of the Weizmann Institute Ruth Arnon visited ANAS Institute of Botany and Central Botanical Garden.

Meeting discussed the cooperative perspectives.

Director of the Institute of Botany, corresponding member of ANAS Valida Alizadeh informed about priorities of the institute led by her, including its international ties, joint projects implemented and achievements.

The guests got interested in research studies at the Department of Plant sources, especially issues of collection, development, detention condition of herbarium samples belonging to domestics and foreign flora and reserved in the Herbarium Foundation and their include into the European Database. 26 different parameters allowing you analyze and generalize changes in species and dynamics of medicinal plants in the e-database of medicinal plants of Azerbaijan also aroused interest on guests.

M.Zadok higly appreciated state-of-the-art of Central Botanical Garden and highlighted the ample opportunities for the exchange of personnel and experience.
