Next meeting of Working group engaged in latest works done for preparation of first cover “Geography of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” two-volume was held at Nakhchivan Division of ANAS. At the meeting, were issued articles collected over chapters in chronological order and reviewed photos, maps, and tables.

The first cover of “Geography of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” two-volume was submitted to the publication by joint participation of the Chairman of Nakhchivan Division, Academician Ismayil Hajiyev, Director of the Institute of Bio resources Academician Tariyel Talibov, chief department of Geography at Nakhchivan State University PhD in Geography Nazim Bababeyli, Deputy Director of the Institute of Geography corresponding member of ANAS Elbrus Alizadeh, PhDs in Geography Maharram Hasanov and Elina Karimova.

The book embraces data of the results of latest scientific researches, covering various spheres of the physical geography in the territory of the autonomous republic, which has a rich natural environment and resources. Fundamental work investigates orography, geological structure, geomorphology, climate, inland waters, soil and vegetation, wildlife and landscapes of Nakhchivan, including allocates them into units by physical-geographical zoning.

Note that, publication of the second cover, devoting to the economic-social geography of Nakhchivan, is scheduled for the end of this year.
