Presidium of ANAS Nakhchivan Division held a next meeting.

Division Chairman Academician Ismayil Hajiyev opened the meeting and informed on the issues of agenda.

At the event, PhD in Philology Firudin Rzayev delivered a lecture on “Ancient Khachmatak Turks in Nakhchivan”, conducting settlement names concerning this nation, its history and cultural samples created by them on the territory of Nakhchivan BC II millennia.

Young Scientists and Specialists of Nakhchivan Division of ANAS made a report at the meeting.

Making speech on scientific-organizational issues Academician Ismayil Hajiyev gave suggestions to the directors of Division institutions on increasing studies, defining new directions, and taking continuous and systematic researches.

Scientific secretary of the Institute of Natural Resources Ahmad Garayev, scientific-secretary of the Institute of Bioresources Anvar Ibrahimov, and scientific-secretary of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature Ramiz Gasimov informed on the activities of research institutions of Division.

At the meeting, by the decision of Presidium PhD in Philology Firudin Rzayev has been defined a chief to the department of Onomastics at the Institute of Art, Language and Literature, PhD in History Zeyneb Guliyeva – to the department of Archeological service of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, PhD in Physics-Math Azad Mammadli – to the department of Photometry of Celestial Bodies of the Batabat Astrophysical Observatory.
