Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Central Scientific Library (CSL) of ANAS held presentation of the personal collection of Professor, journalists, members of the Union and Writers of Russia, Chevalier of the Order "Dostlug" of Azerbaijan, honorary Doctor of ANAS Institute of History, Honorary Professor of Nakhchivan State University, winner of the international competition of the United Nations "Elite Informationology World", Russian Caucasian resercher Rudolf Ivanov.

Director of the library, PhD in medicine Leyla Imanova noted that, the purpose of popularization of the collections is to inform the general publics are protected by the rich literature of historical facts and the truth about Azerbaijan.

Then, employee of CSL Gulnar Mammadova informed about the life and scientific and pedagogical activity of R.Ivanov.

It was noted that, scientist is the author of 28 books, more than two hundred historical articles and essays. Scientist in 2009 was awarded the Order "Dostlug" for special merits in strengthening cultural ties between Russia and Azerbaijan.

It was also noted that, in the library R.Ivanov’s collection was established in 2012, and documents stored here were provided by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Speakers talked about the relevance of the historical works of the scientist, his explorations and visits to Azerbaijan.
