Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Director of the Applied Mathematics Research Institute under Baku State University (BSU) Academician Fikrat Aliyev has been seconded to the United Kingdom, November 20-27, 2016. He delivered lectures on topics “Asymptotical methods for solution of some identification problems” and “A method to determine the coefficient of hydraulic resistance in different areas of pump-compressor pipes” at the international conference dubbed “Analysis and Partial Differential Equations”.

Within the visit Academician F.Aliyev was at the Department of Information Technologies and Applied Mathematics of Imperial College London as well. At the meeting, exchange of view was carried out between two parties and Action Plan of cooperation developed. In addition, it was decided to get in touch with the International Society of Analysis Applications and Calculations (ISAAC) due to implement joint projects.
