ANAS Institute of Botany hosted the educational seminar on "Efficient usage of electronic databases in scientific studies".

At the seminar, Head of the Department of Education of the Institute of Botany, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Rashad Salimov informed the scientists and specialists of the Institute with the rules of the efficient use of capacities and the main elements of a global information database "Web of Science" and "Scopus" in the preparation of research projects.

The workshop explained the rules of selection of international scientific publications entering the information platform "Web of Science", which provides access to the global knowledge base. On the "Web of Science" website, available to scientific institutions of ANAS and the Institute of Botany, clearly shows the effective usage of search engines database Science Citation.

It should be noted that, in October of this year, according to the contract signed between ANAS and the organization of "Thomson Reuters" for more than 40 scientific research institutions of ANAS and employees there scientists and engineers created the possibility for the use of bibliometric network ("Web of Science") platform "Thomson Reuters ".
