Namig Aliyev, a member of Academic Council at the Institute of Law and Human Rights, Ambassador, Dr. Law, Professor, was awarded the order “Veten ovladi”.
The event was attended by MPs, representatives of relevant ministries and committees of Azerbaijan, international organizations, the media and scientists.
Opening the event, Deputy Director for Research of the Institute of Law and Human Rights, Ph.D. Lala Ahmadova told about N. Aliyev’s contributions made to the jurisprudence.
It was noted that, he had always acted from the perspective of the citizen and scientist, to serve their country and the people, maintain close ties with the right institutions and human rights.
L.Ahmedova stressed that, in 1995, the minister took an active part in the drafting of the Constitution of Azerbaijan, as well as over 100 bills. He is also a member of the editorial board of the journal "Dirchalish - XXI ESR".
President of Fondation "Dede Korkut" Eldar Ismayilov noted that, Namik Aliyev is a member of 6 international and national academies (Moscow, Tbilisi, Insburg, New York) and an honorary doctor of 4 universities (Georgia, Republic of Moldova). He has held senior positions in Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Ministry of Justice and Baku State University.
N. Aliyev is also a member of the commission for investigation of the Nagorno Karabakh and Khojaly genocide. 20 monographs, over 100 scientific publications scientist were published. His monograph "International Law and Nagorno Karabakh Conflict" was published in 7 countries in different languages.
"International Law and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict" book published in Kishinev, Moldovan language in 2012, was awarded the diploma of the Ministry of Culture of Moldova and the Moldovan National Commission for UNESCO.
Other speakers also spoke about the scientific and pedagogical N. Aliyev’s activity. They noted that, books, scientific and methodical work of the scientist along with Azerbaijan have been published in Austria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, France, etc.
In conclusion, the prize was awarded to the winner.
