“Anti-corruption policy is the steady will of state” book presentation was held

Today was held presentation of “Anti-corruption policy is the steady will of state” book co-authored by Dr. History at ANAS Institute of Human Rights prof. Namig Akhundov and PhD in political sciences prof. Rovhsen Valizadeh.

In the event were attended MPs, delegates of related ministries and committees, representatives of international organizations, notable scientist and dignity.

Opening the event, director of the institute PhD in law Ayten Mustafayeva made speech on done fulfillments directed to development of human rights, and measures taken by the government against corruption.

New edition attaches importance in terms of the implementation of the relevant provisions approved by Decree of the President “On the fight against corruption National Action Plan for the years 2012-2015” and “National Action Plan on Open Government”, noted A. Mustayafeva.

Corruption exists in all countries of the world. Azerbaijan has a strong vision and strategic projects against this global disaster. Azerbaijan has joined the international anti-corruption system and continues its policy in the anticorruption line, stated Dr. History, prof. Namig Akhundov.

Speaking about the dangers of corruption prof. Rovshen Alizadeh, co-author of the edition stressed out that, corruption destroys the statehood principles. As a result of measures taken by President Ilham Aliyev Azərbaycanda corruption elements could not lead to current economic crisis.

Vugar Aliyev, chief of Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General of the Republic of AzerbaijanSultan Hajiyev, representative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of AR, prof. Irada Huseynova, Baku State University, head of “The history of the peoples of the Caucasus” chair and others reported in the event and highly appreciated authors’ activity in this field.
