Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Co-organized by ANAS Young Scientists and Specialists Council and BSU Student Trade Union Committee, Institute of Radiation Problems (IRP)held a scientific seminar on “Radioactivity, ionizing rays, its types, key features, measuring units.”

Seminar was attended by almost 30 students of Physics Faculty of BSU.

Opening the event council chairman PhD in physics-math Assoc. Prof. Famin Salmanov higlighted its importance.

Then, Deputy Director of the IRP PhD in physics-math Assoc. Prof. Revan Mehdiyeva made a presentation on “Radioactivity, ionizing rays, its types, key features, measuring units”. Scientist’s lecture covered history of the institute, the existing laboratory activities, radiation safety, energy resources, nuclear energy and pollution.

In closing, lecture was discussed.
