Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry and Seoul National University of Korea signed a contract to conduct joint research in the areas of mutual interest in science, such as soil science, ecology, agrochemistry and melioration, reclamation and protection on July 8, 2016 soils.

According to the agreement, in accordance with a certain research program between the two countries, research works continue in the direction of remote study of saline lands.

On April 20, Korean and Azerbaijani scientists visited the Mugan Plain, Saatli and Sabirabad regions to study the situation of saline lands in Azerbaijan on the site.

During the field work in the village of Minbashi in the Sabirabad region, a two-meter soil cut was made in the farm in saline soils under barley. Korean scientists along the profile observed genetic layers. Then, was discussed a wide discussion was held, and the issue of selecting the objects for further research.
