Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi has held an event dedicated to the 60th jubilee of Afag Masud, the Director of Translation Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, writer, dramatist, Honored Artist, and a presentation of monograph “Afag Masud’s world” by Academic Nizami Jafarov.

Vice-President of ANAS, institutes’ director and Academic Isa Habibbeyli reported at the event and stated that, Afag Masud is one of the talented representatives of “70s” literary generation and her new ideas and topics had played special role in development of Azerbaijan literature. He noted that, "Third floor", "Hasan uncle", "Single", "Light on the phone," "Saturday Night", "Dorm" and other her stories compile social and family problems of its period specifically.

Making speech on “Afag Masud’s world” monograph, I.Habibbeyli noted that, writer’s individuality has been skillfully examined here.

Monograph composed of three chapters – “Afag Masud's story world", "Afag Masud's novel world" and "Afag Masud's dramatic world", said Academic Nizami Jafarov.

Corresponding member of ANAS Tehran Alishanoghlu delivered a lecture on “Afag Masud’s role in formation of modernism literature”, Ph. D. Nargiz Jabbarli on “The place of Nizami Jafarov's monograph in critical cognition of Afag Masud’s creativity”, Ph.D. Philology Elnara Garagozeva on “Afag Masud’s story and literary criticism" at the event.

New editions of the institute were donated to Afag Masud.

In closing, A. Masud expressed gratitude to the event organizers and attendees.
