ANAS Presidium held a meeting with the responsible executors of the project "Support to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a view to further adapting the higher education system of Azerbaijan to the requirements of the European Higher Education Area".

Greetings to the guests, the head of the Department of Science and Education of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS, Aminaga Sadigov, noted the importance of the Tvinninq project from the point of view of integrating the education of Azerbaijan into the European education space within the framework of the Bologna Process and expressed the readiness of ANAS to provide this project with all-round support.

He spoke in detail about the reforms that are being carried out at ANAS in the sphere of integration of science and education, in the system of training at the level of magistracy and doctoral studies. Aminaga Sadigov said that, the experience of ANAS in this area may be important for the Tvinninq project, told about the prospects for cooperation in the future and noted the advisability of participation of ANAS in similar projects.

Having expressed his satisfaction with the meeting, Resident-Adviser of the project Reijo Aholainen told in detail about the works carried out within the framework of the project until today. The adviser also noted that the proposals and recommendations of ANAS are of great interest to the executors of the project, and received information on issues of interest to him.

The representative of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher and Vocational Education in the Republic of Estonia, Heli Mattisen, spoke at the meeting. She noted that, she wants to receive information in connection with the establishment of the "Research University" approved in the recently adopted Law "On Science" of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which the criteria and principles on which this university will be created are of great interest to them.

The representative of the Center for Educational Evaluation of the Republic of Finland, Helka Kekalainen, inquired about the reforms that have been carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years in the field of science and education development at the national, European and global levels.

Corresponding member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov answered in detail the questions of interest to the guests, told about the activities carried out in the sphere of adaptation of the higher education system of Azerbaijan to the requirements of the European Higher Education Area and “Nizami” project implemented within the “Erasmus + program”. He noted that, in connection with the set goals, the project developed recommendations that meet national standards and instructions.

In his speech Deputy Director of ANAS Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, correspondent member of ANAS Vagif Guliyev spoke about the Academy's opportunities in the field of international scientific cooperation and about his personal experience as a scientific leader who participated in the training of highly specialized personnel in Azerbaijan and several foreign countries.

Head of the Scientific and Analytical Department of the Department of Science and Education of ANAS Fail Kazimov, Head of the Department of Doctoral Studies, Ph.D in Chemistry Omar Gulalov, head of the Department of Magistracy, Ph.D in Technology Huseyn Huseynov, Assistant Resident Advisor of the Tvinninq Project Aitadzh Atakishiyev and other specialists took part in the meeting.
