ANAS Central Scientific Library, Office of International Relations of ANAS Administration of the Presidium, Library and Information Consortium of Azerbaijan and the EBSCO Publishing House, held another seminar of the information base on the "Rules for the use of electronic journals and electronic books placed in a complete information base Information services "EBSCO".

The coordinator of the Library and Information Consortium of Azerbaijan (AKİK) in the republic, Jamila Yusifova, spoke about the activities of the consortium and cooperation with EBSCO. She said that, the consortium's goal is to distribute information sources among the members, to increase the quantity and quality of the received electronic resources, and to constantly expand the number of members of the organization.

J.Yusifova also noted that, to resolve issues in connection with the use of information sources and profitable subscription fees, the departments and institutions of ANAS should be united in a unified system. She brought to the attention of the participants of the event that, further are planned trainings on the use of the "EBSCO" base for institutes and institutions of ANAS.

Then, the representative of EBSCO in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Irina Kreicharova, made a speech. With the help of the slide show, she briefly told about the history of EBSCO, noted that the company is the largest coordinator of scientific resources of leading publishing houses. EBSCO provides electronic versions of publications not only in the US and Europe, but also in different parts of the world. Here the materials are provided in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and other languages of the world.

In general, EBSCO combines about 20 topics. Then I.Krejcharova has shown principles of work of search system of base and technological features of "EBSCO Discovery Service". She also said that, compared to Azerbaijan, users of Kazakhstan and Georgia are more active in using the EBSCO database

In the end, was an exchange of views on this topic and answers were given to the questions of interest to the participants.
