June 6, Scientific and Methodological Center for Cultural Studies of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism jointly with the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS held a round table on "Scientific promotion of the tourism potential of Azerbaijan".

At the event, held within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two structures, the prospects for cooperation in the field of culture and tourism were discussed.

During the round table the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, Ph.D. in Physics, Associate Professor Famin Salmanov, the Director of the Scientific and Methodological Center for Cultural Studies, Ph.D. in Political Sciences Asif Usubaliev brought to the attention the scientific and spiritual importance of tourism as a strong economic Factor, an influential social institution, as well as an indicator of the social welfare of society, in raising the standard of living of a person.

The meeting discussed the plan of propaganda of the national quality system and the plan of activity in the sphere of tourism, a wide exchange of views took place. The importance of the implementation of new ideas and joint projects between the two structures was stressed.

It was noted that the Azerbaijani state has declared the development of the national tourism sphere a priority direction in the non-oil sector of the economy, and the work done in connection with tourism promotion, state programs, improvement of the regulatory framework is one of the strategic factors of scientific and cultural policy.
