Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Scientific session devoted to economist, senior researcher of the Institute of Economy, Prof. Tarbiz Aliyev’s 70th jubilee, and 45th anniversary of his educational activity, was held at the main building of ANAS, June 9.

In advance, film displaying life and creativity of the scientist was displayed.

Opening the event, institute’s director, Prof. Nazim Imanov spoke of his educational activity, contributions to the economy science, and merits in training of hi-qualified staff. He said that, T. Aliyev is the active member of Academy of International Informatization, Eco-Engineering, Russian Academy of Nature Sciences and European Technology Academy. He is the first Azerbaijani scientist who had got gold medal “Adam Smith” by European Scientific-Industrial Consortium.

N.Imanov congratulated the scientist and wished him successes in educational activity.

At the session, lectures by corresponding member of ANAS Shahbaz Muradov on “Patriot researcher of modern economy science”, Ph.D. in Economy Seyfeddin Samandarov “On the educational activity of Prof. Tarbiz Aliyev” and Ph.D. in Economy Assoc. Prof. Yashar Mammadov “On the scientific-productive activity of Prof. Tarbiz Aliyev”, were listened.

It was noted that, scientist offered the economic-mathematical model of appointment of amount of economic information with the scientific leadership and directly participation prepared 18 complex programs, regional innovation programs, and socio-economic development programs of institutions and regions.

T. Aliyev is an author of 260 scientific works, including monograph, booklet and article collection. He supervised 38 Ph.D. and a doctor of sciences.

Academic Ziyad Samadzadeh, corresponding member of ANAS Akif Musayev and others made speech on multi-faceted activity of scientist, who had great merits in development of Azerbaijan economy, his high human qualities, and congratulated him.

In closing, scientist expressed his gratitude for care and attention.
