ANAS Institute of Manuscripts after Muhammad Fizuli held meeting with rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, Academician Kamal Abdullayev on June 20. Within the framework of the event, the recently published book of the scientist "Introduction to the poetics of Kitabi-Dede Gorgud" was discussed.

At the meeting held with support of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Director of this institution, Academician Mukhtar Imanov informed about the artistic, scientific and socio-political activities of Kamal Abdullayev, researches of the scientist dedicated to "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud" and theoretical problems of Azerbaijani linguistics.

It was brought to the attention that recently was published a monograph of the scientist "Introduction to Poetics" Kitabi-Dede Gorgud. Dawn version" wich are covering the hidden sides of the battles of dastan "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud", which constitute the platform of scientific and literary creativity of academician Kamal Abdullayev. It was noted that, this monograph is a logical continuation of the works from the cycle "Secret Dede Gorgud" ("Secret Dede Gorgud", "Mysterious Dastan or Secret Dede Gorgud-2", "From myth to letter or Secret Dede Gorgud").

Noting that, many poetic issues are considered in the book, M.Imanov emphasized that a new original approach to the poetic layer of ancient texts was also presented, which can become the key to the immanent study of the artistic layer of the texts "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud." The study of various poetic layers of ancient written monuments will separately become a platform for their subsequent analysis.

Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the formation and stages of the development of the genre of dastan in the Azerbaijani science, as well as the studies devoted to the epic "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud" in the domestic literature. Recalling the relevant decree of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in connection with the celebration of the 1300th anniversary of the dastan "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud", the scientist noted that scientific research aimed at this ancient monument will be expanded.

ANAS Vice-President noted that, in the work of the Academician K. Abdullayev the topic "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud" occupies an important place and is subjected to extensive research. K. Abdullayev clearly distinguishes the mythological layer of dastans. He defended the thesis "Syntactic parallelism", dedicated to the peculiarities of dastan language "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud". In the field of gargoyle, such books as the "Secret Dede Gorgud", "The Mysterious Dastan or the Secret Dede Gorgud-2", "From the myth to the letter or the Secret Dede Gorgud" are written.

Then, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanitarian Sciences, Academician Teymur Kerimli in his speech said that the book consists of an introduction, two separate parts, a general result, an afterword and additions. It was noted that the foreword contains the author's notes, a scientific analysis of the peculiarities of the anachronistic text and mythological texts, the causes of the origin of primitive artistic poetry, and others. The section of the book devoted to the results reflects further perspectives in this direction.

It was brought to the attention that, the monograph is a valuable source for people engaged in the field of mythology, poetics, stylistics, semiotics, semantics and written monuments.

In conclusion, Academician K.Abdullaev clarified some aspects of the book and answered participants' questions about the monograph.
