The employeer of the Italy Institute of Macromolecular Research of the National Research Council (IRC) - Professor Henrietta Molinari, Laura Ragona and Professor of Milan University Angelo Sironi were on a working visit to the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS and Sheki Regional Research Center on June 13-19, 2017.

On June 16 at the Institute of Biophysics hosted a seminar with the participation of Italian scientists. The event was attended by employees of the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Radiation Problems, the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS.

Opening the meeting, Director of the Institute of Biophysics, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Ogtay Gasimov informed the participants of the event about the specialists who came from Italy and the directions of their research.

At the seminar was listening L. Ragona's report on "Tracking of protein oligomerization through nuclear magnetic resonance". In his speech, he spoke about joint work being carried out by ANAS and the Institute of Biophysics.

On June 17-19, Italian scientists visited the Sheki Regional Research Center and held talks on joint cooperation. In addition, they also got acquainted with the production of silk at the Sheki silk factory.

Then the guests met with the head of the executive power of Sheki Elkhan Usubov. At the meeting, the main topic of discussion was the need to use human resources in the production of cocoons and silkworm production based on innovative technologies in Azerbaijan.
