An international scientific seminar on "Climate change, air pollution sciences and scientific research opportunities for Azerbaijan" was held in Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after N. Tusi of ANAS.
The event was opened by the director of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Namik Jalilov and said that the seminar will be useful for familiarization with the scientific researches carried out in the US. The scientist emphasized that the organization of such events in the observatory opens new possibilities for cooperation with scientific institutions operating in foreign countries.
Then, Rovan Ahmadov, senior researcher at the Earth Sciences Research Laboratory at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the United States made a report. The scientist briefly briefed the seminar participants about his organization.
R.Ahmadov spoke about the research carried out by the Earth Sciences Research Laboratory on climate change and air pollution, as well as the modern scientific research methods used. The scientist emphasized the necessity of studying the experience of US scientific institutions in this direction and applying them in Azerbaijan.
The report was welcomed by participants of the event, discussions were held on the subject and questions were answered.
