Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Ceremony dedicated to final program of Republican Language and Culture Festival was held at Heydar Aliyev Palace on March 4 under the slogan “Let us love our mother language, and make it beloved “.

The organizers of the festival dedicated to the International Mother Language Day are Ministry of Education, National Academy of Sciences ( ANAS ), International Education Center and Asian Language and Culture Center.

At the beginning of the ceremony national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey were sounded, national leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs were co memorized with a minute's silence and film reflecting our language , culture was shown.

Head of Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan , Chairman of culture committee of Milli Majlis, corresponding member of ANAS Nizami Jafarov, rector of Baku State University, deputy of Milli Majlis, academician Abel Maharramov, director of the Institute of Linguistics , a corresponding member of ANAS Tofig Hajiyev , Chairman of the Committee of education and Science of Milli Majlis, professor Shamsaddin Hajiyev and other scholars shared their opinions .

Then winners of the first, second and third places were awarded.

The event ended with a concert .
