ANAS Nakhichevan Department presented the book devoted to the history of craft and trade of the Nakhichevan region

ANAS Nakhichevan Department presented the book devoted to the history of craft and trade of the Nakhichevan region (XVIII - early XX century)" by Honored Art Worker, Ph.D in History, Professor Vidadi Muradov.

At the event, the chairman of the Department, Academician Ismail Hajiyev spoke about the scientific significance of new research publication reflecting the results of numerous studies for Russian historiography.

I.Hajiyev brought to the attention that, the author of the book V. Muradov 2013 was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan" for merits in the development of folk art - carpet weaving by the decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Mejlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, dated November 7.

Then, Director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology of the department, Corresponding Member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli delivered report on "A valuable monograph devoted to the history of the development of crafts and trade on the Nakhchivan Territory".

It was noted that, a number of factors influencing the state of trade and crafts, including research in connection with the political and socio-economic situation of the region, were reflected in the new edition, in the writing of which numerous archival materials and literary sources of 449 titles have been used.

At the presentation chief researcher of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, Ph.D in history, associate professor Sara Hajiyeva and the head of the Department of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature Fizza Guliyeva stressed that, the new edition is a valuable source combining information in the history of handicraft and trade of Nakhchivan.
