Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Dr. Gunel Mammadova, Head of Sorption Process Laboratory, Institute of Natural Resources of Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS, has been elected to the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Modern Physics.

It should be noted that G.Mammadova's main scientific activity is study of the structure of the non-organic compounds and the implementation of targeted synthesis of new materials on its basis. The results of the young scientist's research have been published in a number of authoritative magazines in Azerbaijan and abroad. 2 books in foreign publishing houses and 1 book in country publishing house. The inventions of the scientist on the basis of local raw materials, such as the method of "acquisition of erionite type seolite" and "method of obtaining Tomsonite type seolite," were patented by the State Committee for Standardization Metrology and Patent of the Republic of Azerbaijan this year. She was also elected professor of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences last year.

The selection of a member of the editorial staff of the influential scientific magazine of the United States is important for delivering scientific research in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to the world scientific community.
