Institute of Arts, Language and Literature of Nakhchivan Department of ANAS held a joint scientific conference with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Library named after M.Ordubadi according to the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “About the books have to be read” dated August 28, 2017.

Speaking at the event, Director of the Institute of Arts, Language and Literature of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Abulfaz Guliyev noted " Gutadgu -bilik" as one of the masterpieces of the Turkish world. He said that the great thinker of the 11th century, Yusif Balasagunlu wrote this work and created a system of philosophy of life that analyzed the meaning of human life and determined its role in society.

The linguist scientist noted that the language of "Gutadgu -bilik" is closer to the southwestern Turkish group, to the Oguz group. As a poem written in 6600 beytes, he also used the rubai poetry form. The author has widely used folklore motifs, artistic images and analogies related to people's life.

It is known that in our present Turkish language, the word "gut" means happiness and nowdays "Gutadgu -bilik" written in his mother tongue is translated as "Happiness Knowledge", "Art of Blessing", "Science for Happiness" and "Happiness Science."
