Scientific conference on "Carbon gas - natural wealth of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" was organized by Institute of Natural Resources of Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS (INR), Nakhchivan Holding Group of Companies and “Carbon Gas Factory” located in Julfa region.

Director of INR, correspondent member of ANAS Aliaddin Abbasov said that there are more than 250 mineral water fields in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The scientist pointed out the example of such famous mineral waters as "Badamli", "Sirab", "Gahab", "Vaykhir", "Nahajir", "Ashabi-Kahf",  "Daridagh thermal water" and "Babasu".

At the conference, Head of Hydrogeology and Mineral Water Laboratory of the institute, PhD in chemistry Fizze Mammadova made a lecture on “Arsenic mineral water of Daridagh” PhD in Chemical Sciences Ahmed Garayev on “Methods of obtaining carbon dioxide by industrial methods”.

It was reported that carbon dioxide is widely used in all three types of aggregate, in solid form, in gaseous form and liquid, in different areas of the national economy. It includes storage and transportation of a variety of medicinal products in medicine, cleaning of machinery and others.

At the end of the event, Elman Seyidov, director of the "Carbon gas Factory" LLC, acquainted scientists and specialists with the work principle of the plant. He noted that a liquefied carbon dioxide production was built on the basis of spontaneous carbon dioxide produced from the 2650-meter pipeline in 1980. Starting from December 2008, it operates as a Carbon Factory Plant.
