Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A joint meeting of the Department of Earth Sciences (DES) and Physics and Philosophy Institutes was held on November 14. At the meeting organized at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, members of the department, academics of the Institute of Physics and Philosophy, heads of scientific institutions took place.

Opening the event, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov, academician-secretary of DES reminded that,  academician Akper Feyzullayev deserved 3 rd degree "Labor" order, correspondent members of ANAS Galib Afandiyev and Dadash Huseynov "Progress" medal on the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 7, 2017. He expressed this step as a result of great care and attention to the Azerbaijani science and wished the scientists success in their future scientific activities.

Then, the head of the department of tectonophysics and geomechanics of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, academician Hatam Guliyev presented his report on "The paradigm of eternity of the world".

Discussions were held after the report was listened. Academicians Adil Garibov, Parviz Mammadov, Arif Ismayilzadeh, correspondent member of ANAS Namig Jalilov, Akif Musayev, PhD in philosophy Abdullhasan Abbasov and others asked questions about the topic.

The department decided to apply to the Presidium on the celebration of the 80th jubilee of acad. Budag Budagov, 90th anniversary of Corresponding Member of ANAS Garib Jalalov.

The next issue on the agenda was related to the identification of candidates nominated for the Presidential Award for Youth of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was decided to submit candidacies of the employee of the Department of Education of the Oil and Gas Institute Safiyya Aliyeva and junior scientific researcher of the Department of Ecology of the Institute of Geography Zuleykha Eyyubova to the relevant commission.

At the end a number of current issues were discussed.
