By the order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic "On books to be read" dated August 28, 2017 at ANAS Nakhchivan Division held presentation of the book "Appeal of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of the new year 2001, the new century and the third millennium".

At the event, Director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology of the Department, ANAS corresponding member Fakhraddin Safarli told about the importance of the decree in the education of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and attachment to historical roots.

Talking about the merits of the book "The appeal of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of the new year 2001, the new century and the third millennium" the scientist said that, this edition covers historical moments of great importance for our people. The book analyzes all periods of Russian history.

It was noted that the publication highlights the historical path of Azerbaijan, provides an objective assessment of historical events and processes, and conducts a scientific and theoretical analysis. A scientist-historian, who evaluated the appeal of the national leader Heydar Aliyev as a document calling the Azerbaijani people for revival, noted that this appeal is an important event for the younger generation.

Speaking at the event, head of the Institute's department, Ph.D. in History Emin Shikhaliyev and senior researcher, Ph.D. in History Yashar Rahimov stressed that, the book covers historical and political-ideological moments of great importance for Azerbaijanis.
