Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The conference titled "The powerful sword and the pen of the Turkic world" was organized by the Central Scientific Library of ANAS and "Turan Javid Women's Center" Public Union.

The event is dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the prominent playwright of Azerbaijan Hussein Javid and the Turkish state and military figure Kazim Karabekir.

Leyla Imanova, director of the CSL, PhD on medical sciences, said that her organization was the author and executor of a number of scientific projects and initiatives dedicated to Turkology.

Unique materials about Hussein Javid and Kazim Karabekir were protected in the National Digital Resource Center of the CSL, L.Imanova stated.

Then the chairman of the "Turan Javid Women's Center" Public Union Sevda Jafarova, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Sevda Mammadaliyeva, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Azerbaijan Erkan Özaral, the head of Kazim Karabekir Foundation, daughter of Kazim Karabekir Timsal Garabekir and others spoke of the services of both sides and their roles in the Turkic world.

Corresponding member of ANAS Ayyub Guliyev made a lecture on "Cosmic object Huseyn Javid - Huseyn Javid planet", Professor Zumrud Dadashzade on "Hussein Javid's composer son Ertugrul Javid".

Then, Azerbaijan's well-known carpet artist Afag Karimova presented the "Eternal" and "Heydar Aliyev and Hussein Javid" carpets, as well as the “Planet” poster and "Alın yazısı" batik.

At the end, on behalf of Huseyn Javid's family, corresponding member of ANAS Masuma Mammadova thanked the organizers and participants of the event.
