Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS (SRSC) held an event dedicated to the International Day of Civil Defense.

At first, was held the opening of a new office of Civil Defense SRSC.The opening ceremony was attended by the Director of the SRRC, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Yusif Shukurlu and Deputy Chairman of the Commission for Emergency Situations of Sheki Valeh Alekperov.

Further, Chief of Staff of the Civil Defense of the SRSC, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Gudrat Bekirov, spoke in detail about the history of the creation and purpose of the Day of Civil Defense, the concept of "emergency situations", man-made disasters, personal protective equipment, and ways to protect against fires, explosions and poisonings.

At the event, various personal protective equipment and fire extinguishing equipment were also demonstrated.
