On March 13, the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi held a scientific session on the topic of "Artistic Contrast of Genocide and Deportations in Azerbaijani Literature: Realities and Challenges" on March 31 - Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis.

Director of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, academician Isa Habibbayli noted that the scientific session was organized under the Presidential Decree dated January 18, 2018 "On the 100th anniversary of the 1918 genocide of Azerbaijanis". The massacre of Azerbaijanis, repression, deportation and deportation from their native lands were one of the most tragic and terrible pains in the history of the 20th century. The main purpose of the brutal massacre committed by Dashnak-Bolshevik units in different regions of Azerbaijan in March-April 1918 was to eradicate the Azerbaijanis as a national ethnos and to master their historical lands, academician added.

Then the report on "History of the genocide against Azerbaijanis (March, 1918) in artistic literature " was listened by the lecturer of the Institute of Literature, Doctor of Philology, Professor Asif Rustamli.

Heads of departments, professors Sirindil Alsanli and Tahira Mammad, PhD in philology Baba Babayev, PhDon philology Gulbaniz Babayeva and others noted aggressive policy of the Armenian nationalists and genocide and ethnic cleansing of Azerbaijanis in the XX century.

Finally, the slide reflecting horrors of the March massacre committed by Armenian dashnaks has been shown.
