Announced the results of the contest "Show me the space"

An event dedicated to the results of the contest "Show me the space" was held at Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after N. Tusi.

Director of the Shamakhi Astrophysics Observatory, correspondent member of ANAS Namik Jalilov spoke about the importance of such competitions among schoolchildren. He said that the formation of outlook on astronomy in children and adolescents would play an important role in their future development.

Then Elchin Babayev, Executive Director of the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Deputy Director of the observatory, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics spoke about state policy in the development of science in our country and implemented projects.

Member of Azerbaijan Artists Union, artist Ilham Safarli informed participants of the event about the works, which were exhibited in the exhibition hall of the Space Center of the Moscow Space Center (Star City) in Moscow in 1987.

The participants of the event were shown video clips of the contest "Show me the space", dedicated to the 12th of April - the Day of Kosmonavtics, among members of the Eco Club of RUGIM.

At the end of the contest, 56 certificates were given to the schoolchildren, as well as the book "Show me the world" by the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The pupils who took the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the competition were awarded with the diplomas of the Republican Children-Youth Development Center of the Ministry of Education and gifts of Azercosmos OJSC.

The contest was organized jointly by Shamakhi Astrophysics Observatory, Republican Children-Youth Development Center, Science Development Fund, Knowledge Foundation under the President of Azerbaijan and Tusi-Bohm Planetarium.
