Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

As is well known , Presidium of ANAS made a decision “About the establishment of ANAS awards on the names of outstanding scholars of Azerbaijani scientists”.

Awards were presented at the general assembly of ANAS.

Speaking about the importance of awards president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh noted that, the aim of the establishment of the awards was to encourage scientists for new researches and to perpetuate the memory of the prominent scholars.

Later president of ANAS presented awards to scientists.

Academician Chingiz Gajar deserved to award of ANAS named after Nasraddin Tusi, academician Omar Eldarov to award of ANAS named after academician Uz.Hajibeyli for the development of Azerbaijani culture and monumental sculpture art; academician Jalal Aliyev to award of ANAS named after Hasan Bey Zerdabi for fundamental researches in physical and chemical biology of agricultural crops; Academician Muharram Mammadyarov to award of ANAS named after academician Yusif Mammadaliyev for the creation of special synthetic oils that are important for special techniques and achievements in chemistry; academician Boyukkishi Agayev to award of ANAS named after academician Mirasadulla Mirgasimov; Academician Irade Huseynova to award of ANAS named after Hasan Bey Zerdabi for fundamental researches in physical and chemical biology of agricultural crops; Professor Farid Dadashev to award of ANAS named after academician Musa Aliyev for his services in preparation of highly qualified personnel in the field of geology.

Beside the awards scientists got diplomas and monetary prizes.
