Electronic Assembly Hall of ANAS Institute of Literature held a scientific conference dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the prominent writer and scholar-literary critic, Professor Mir Jalal Pashayev, who has invaluable merits in the development of Azerbaijani science, literature and education of the 20th century.

First, at the foyer participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to the scientific and literary heritage of Mir Jalal Pashayev.

Vice-president of ANAS, director of the institute, academician Isa Habibbeyli opened the conference, and noted that in our country holding of jubilees of great personalities, prominent writers and writers at the state level is connected with the name of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, and now this tradition is successful continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

"Celebrating the anniversaries of outstanding personalities in our country is an expression of respect and the great attention given to them. At the same time, this tradition pursues the goal of further revival of the literary process, scientific and social thought against their background", the scientist said and stressed the importance of the conference dedicated to the outstanding writer, literary scholar Mir Jalal Pashayev.

Vice-President of ANAS noted that, Mir Jalal Pashayev, considered one of the leaders of the scientific and literary thought of the 20th century, as a scholarly literary theorist occupies a special place in the history of modern Azerbaijan: "Creating an image of ordinary people with a sad fate in their works, the scientist turned them light in deep spirituality and humanity in the subject of great literature. In his works reflected the realities of life, the spiritual world of man".

Noted that, M.J.Pashayev was an outstanding writer, teacher and humane personality, academician I.Habibbeyli characterized the novel "Manifesto of a Young Man" by a writer as a manifesto of a relationship to a person in literature at that time. After acquaintance with the creative world of Jalal in general, we can come to the conclusion that, the vital issues of life, the light of people's thinking, the development of national and spiritual values in accordance with classical traditions, and the problems arising in this direction are clearly and distinctly reflected in the language of prose and a real description of the life of the people.

Speaking about the first major work of the outstanding writer "Resurrected", academician I.Habibbeyli emphasized the importance of his stories and novels, which will never lose their relevance. He said that, the fundamental works of Mir Jalal Pashayev "Creativity of Fizuli", "Azerbaijan literature of the twentieth century", "Literary Schools in Azerbaijan (1905-1917)", "Fundamentals of Literary Studies" are valuable works of the science of literary criticism.

It was brought to the attention that the work of the scholar "Literary Schools in Azerbaijan (1905-1917)" is the most serious systematic and generalized theoretical study of literary schools in Azerbaijan.

Academician I.Habibbayli said that, the work of the writer "Realism of Jalal Mammadguluzadeh", written in 1967, occupies a special place in Azerbaijan's Mollanasredin study.

Academician I.Habibbayli stressed the importance of re-analyzing and transferring to the future generations the literary heritage of Mir Jalal Pashayev.

The conference also listened papers by Doctor of philology, Professor Shirindil Alishanli on "The World Jalal Phenomenon in the Literature of the 20th Century", doctor of Philology, Professor Badirkhan Ahmadov on "Art Humor in Prose Mir Jalal" and Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Aygun Bagirli on "Scientific heritage World Jalal Pashaev".

In conclusion, son of the great writer and scholar M.J.Pashayev, rector of the ADA University, Professor Hafiz Pashayev expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Institute of Literature for honoring the memory of his father.
