Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Azerbaijan Adil Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim visited the Institute of Oriental Studies named after academician Z.M. Bunyadov on May 16. The Ambassador first met with the director of the institute, academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva.

During the meeting G.Bakhshaliyeva spoke about the scientific and cultural relations of Azerbaijan with Arab countries and noted the important role of oriental scholars in strengthening these ties. Speaking about the history, economics, Arabic language and literature studies of the Arab countries, she noted that there are important information on the history of Azerbaijan in Arabic sources. The scientist talked about Egyptian research on the institute and its relationship with Egypt.

Adil Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim, in turn, underlined the importance of expanding cooperation in science and education between our countries.

Finally, Ambassador Adil Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim answered the questions of oriental scholars.
