Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On June 22, at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, a meeting has been held with the head of the Center for Culture and Education of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in our country Ahmed Sami Elaydi.

Director of the Institute of Folklore, academician Mukhtar Imanov noted that Azerbaijan-Egypt relations have been successfully continued and there are wide opportunities for the development of cooperation. He gave detailed information on Ahmad Sami Elaydi's role in the development of Azerbaijani-Egyptian friendly relations and the promotion of Azerbaijani culture in the Arab world, as well as his research on Azerbaijani literature and folklore and interpretation activities. Academician M.Imanov emphasized the necessity to continue the friendly relations established between the two countries and joint projects.

He later spoke about the history, activity, co-operation with relevant institutions in Azerbaijan and his role in the expansion of cultural relations between our countries. He emphasized the importance of preparing projects for the translation of Azerbaijani folklore samples into Arabic.

A.S.Elaydi noted that the stands related to Azerbaijan have been established at the international Cairo book fair, where the information on the literature and culture of our country, and especially the Karabakh realities, were demonstrated.
