Discussed problems of science journalism

Deputy Chief of Public Relations and Science Popularization Office of the Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Ulviyya Rzayeva and Head of Public Relations Department of the Academy's Archeology and Ethnography Institute Parviz Gasimov held a meeting at the Faculty of Journalism of Baku State University. The goal was to develop scientific journalism, explore ways to resolve existing problems in this area, and discuss prospects for joint cooperation.

Dean of the faculty, doctor of philology Vugar Zifaroglu noted the importance of training highly qualified personnel, which plays an important role in popularizing and promoting scientific and scientific knowledge. Speaking about the importance of teaching science journalism, he stressed the need for practical steps in this area.

V.Zifaroglu spoke about the history of formation and development of scientific journalism in Azerbaijan, the study of various problems, preparation of methodical materials and the importance of defending dissertations in this field. Cooperation relations established with the press services of different organizations, joint projects implemented and others. .

Deputy Chief of the Office Ulviyya Rzayeva noted the growing demand for scientific information in the scientific and technical field in modern times, highlighting the specialization of journalists and the importance of the high level of scientifically-popular articles. The specialization in various fields of science is an important factor in the development of professional journalistic journalists, not only for the Faculty of Journalism, but also for the study of other faculties, the reading of interuniversity lectures on scientific journalism will make valuable contributions to the development of this field. In my opinion, such a system would be more appropriate. At the same time, students will graduate from the faculty of their chosen specialty, as well as learn about the secrets of scientific journalism, the speaker underlined.

U.Rzayeva stated that, the development of knowledge and experience exchange between scientists, populists, professional scholars and students, the relationship between science and society, and the training of cadres able to manage relationships are among the challenges ahead. She expressed confidence that the Public Relations and Science Popularization Office and the Faculty of Journalism would achieve successful results in addressing such issues.

Then the guests got acquainted with the activity of the Barama Media Center, which was established for the preparation of the Training TV and Radio studio of the faculty and startup projects. It is noted that BSU TV and radio are of great importance in the practical application of theoretical knowledge of students and advanced technical equipment, recording equipment were welcomed by the guests.
