On July 24, an event titled “Rasim Balayev. The image of the hero in national memory" dedicated to the 70th jubilee of prominent theater and film actor, People's Artist, laureate of "Shohret" order and Presidential scholarships Rasim Balayev, was held at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS (CSL).

The event was attended by the representatives of science, art and culture, media representatives. Director of CSL, Ph.D. Leyla Imanova opened the meeting. She spoke of the life and creativity of the prominent actor, the successful stage performance, the images he has played in theaters and films. She said that books and magazines, dissertations, and films with the participation of prominent actors were included in the library's electronic catalog and the National Digital Database and were given to the users. In addition, CSL has edited Rasim Balayev's page in Azerbaijani Wikipedia and has created the wiki-page of the actor in Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Georgian.

L.Imanova also noted that the documentary film, reflecting the life and creative way of the prominent artist, is being prepared by CSL.

Then the film has been shown.

The representative of the Ministry of Culture Elshad Aliyev spoke about the rich creative activity of the prominent actor and his contribution to the development of national cinema as a professional artist. He said that Rasim Balayev's films were written on the brightest page of Azerbaijani cinematography.

People's Artist Azer Pasha Nematov, Honored Art Worker, poet Baba Veziroglu, teacher of Stage Conversation Department of Azerbaijan State University of Architecture and Art, student of Rasim Balayev, Alizaman Iknur and others have shared their impressions about the bright lines of personality and art, congratulating the actor on his jubilee have done so.

At the end, Rasim Balayev thanked the organizers and participants of the event. The famous actor spoke about his youth and student years, the difficulties of the art, the development of cinema and theater in Azerbaijan, and interesting events during the filming.

The event continued with an artistic part.
