Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On May 8 was held " Heydar Aliyev - patron of our culture and literature " scientific - practical conference at National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Gancavi on the occasion of national leader Heydar Aliyev’s 91st anniversary.

Director of the museum , a corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Rafael Huseynov gave detailed information about Heydar Aliyev’s life and activity. He emphasized Heydar Aliyev's exceptional place in the history of Azerbaijan, unique services for our people, realization of the idea of national statehood , independence , and the establishment of the modern state.

Then R.Huseynov made a speech on theme “Art figures in Heydar Aliyev’s life and Heydar Aliyev in art figures’ fate”.

Later, Dr. in philology Shafag Alibeyli delivered a speech on theme “Heydar Aliyev and the mother tongue”.

Exhibition reflecting Heydar Aliyev’s life and activity of was shown at the ceremony.
