Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS hosted scientific session dedicated to the 110th anniversary of famous Azerbaijani poet Mikayil Mushfig.

First, participants of the event visited the monument to M.Mushfig and laid flowers in front of them and honored the memory of the poet.

The event was opened by the vice-president of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbayli and said that the session was held under President Ilham Aliyev's Decree dated May 17, 2018 "On the celebration of the 110th anniversary of Mikail Mushfiq". He then talked about the life and work of the victim of repression, Mikail Mushfig. He noted that, M.Mushfig was one of the powerful representatives of the emerging poetry of the twentieth century and made a considerable contribution to the development of Azerbaijani literature.

I.Habibbeyli noted that, the poet created the unique poetic patterns, which were profoundly humorous and benefited from the national folklore and classical literary traditions, which included all the beauty of the native language: "These examples have enriched the centuries-old artistic treasury of Azerbaijan, and the name of Mushfiq is named after the victims of the 1930s totalitarianism the symbol of the transposed innocent people, and the naked poet's image".

Then, lectures of the staff of the Institute on the role of Mikayil Mushfiq in the evolution of the national poetic system, Mikail Mushfig of the National Liberation Movement, Children's world in Mushfig poetry, Samad Vurgun and Mikayil Mushfig, and Mikail Mushfig's poem creativity were heard. The essays featured prominent poetry masters from our literature, the lyric features. It is stressed that the imprinted pearls created by Mushfiq have been memorable forever. Alongside his elderly generations, poems, which are polarized among young people, are among the pearls of poetry treasures.
