Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The event is dedicated to the outstanding scientist, Honored Worker of Science and Technology, State Prize Laureate, academician Azad Mirzajanzadeh.

Chairman of the Nakhchivan Division, academician Ismail Hajiyev opened the event, recalled the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated July 6, 2018 “On the 90th anniversary of academician Azad Mirzajanzadeh”. He noted that, the scientific life of the world-famous scientist is widely covered in the aforementioned order.

Speaking on the report “Academician Azad Mirzajanzadeh and training highly qualified scientific personnel in Azerbaijan” the Division chairman said that, scientist had created a whole scientific direction in the field of oil and gas mechanics in our country. He also published a number of scientific articles, books and monographs on the dynamic analysis of oil and gas fields.

An outstanding scientist is the author of about 500 scientific articles, about 100 monographs, textbooks, as well as more than 50 inventions and patents. Under the leadership of A.Mirzajanzadeh, more than 300 PhD of science, 120 Doctors of science were trained and today they continue the work as a highly qualified personnel in Russia, USA, Vietnam, Germany and other countries.

It was noted that, the world-famous scientist was elected as active member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the Academy of Sciences of Bashkiria and the Ukrainian Academy of Oil and Gas, was twice winner of the State Prize of Azerbaijan and also awarded the Istiglal Order of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Next, Director of the Institute of Natural Resources, corresponding member of ANAS Abbasov Aliaddin delivered a papers on the life and research activities of academician Azad Mirzajanzadeh and Director of the Institute of Biological Resources, academician Talibov Tariyel on “World Fame of academician Azada Mirzajanzadeh”.

In conclusion, corresponding members of ANAS Guliyev Abulfaz and Safarli Hajifakhraddin told about the contribution of the scientist to the development of science in Azerbaijan.
