Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Institute of Philosophy held “Enlightenment and Philosophy” the international scientific conference dedicated to the 15th of November - World Philosophy Day estableshid by UNESCO.

The conference was opened by the Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh. After welcoming the participants of the conference, he congratulated the audience on the philosophers' holiday, noted that, the 3rd week of November is devoted to the Day of Philosophy.

Academician Nargiz Akhundova, Academician-Secretary of the Division of Social Sciences, adviser of the Turkish embassy in Azerbaijan Irfan Chifchi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to the Republic of Azerbaijan Nikos Canellos spoke at the event.

At the conference was delivered papers by Doctor of Philosophy Zumrud Guluzadeh on “Directions of Enlightenment Philosophy in Azerbaijan”, President of the University Biskra, Professor Halsallah Miluddin on “Teaching of Philosophy in Algeria”, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Izzat Rustamov on “Evolution of the Philosophy of Education Azerbaijan”, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ali Abbasov on “What is national philosophy”, etc.
