A scientific conference dedicated to the 135th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani playwright Hussein Javid has taken place in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan.
Head of the department at the Folklore Institute, correspondent member of ANAS Kamran Aliyev delivered a report on "East-West Conflict in Hussein Javid's work." In the report, the scientist emphasized the importance of H.Javid's emphasis on the geography of Eurasia in the choice of space, particularly the mention of Samarkand in “Topal Teymu”r, as well as modern Central Asia in the “Sajavush” tragedy and etc.
H. Javid’s drama reflected the East-West confrontation idea of preserving national-moral, moral values. In addition, the advantages of Eastern thought and behavioral culture are highlighted by the principles of romantic aesthetics, the speaker underlined.
