Meeting of Scientific Publishing Council was held at ANAS Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics.

Chairman of the Council, director of this scientific institution, correspondent member of ANAS Misir Mardanov gave detailed information about the activity of the publishing council and the forthcoming tasks. It was noted that as a result of the attention and care of ANAS management in recent years, some successful steps have been taken in the relevant field. One of these steps is to research the current state of the journals published in the institutes of ANAS, to define requirements for scientific journals around the world, to conduct initial comparative analyzes and to make effective proposals for adaptation of publications to modern requirements.

The scientist noted that the inclusion of journals "Azerbaijan Mathematics Magazine", "Works of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics", "Chemical Problems" and "Oil Chemistry and Oil Refining Processes" into the Web of Science base is the result care of ANAS leadership.

The shortcomings in the review of journals and the meeting with responsible secretaries were also mentioned.

Academicians Ramiz Mammadov, Shahin Mustafayev, correspondent members of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, Ramiz Aliguliyev, Dadash Huseynov and others voiced their suggestions and recommendations.
